The salary for this permanent Theatre Practitioner job is £38,000 - £41,535 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure anaesthetic equipment is consistently prepared and in top-notch condition for surgical use.
  • Aid anaesthetists in administering anaesthesia to patients before surgery.
  • Monitor patients continuously during surgical procedures, making necessary adjustments to anaesthesia levels.
  • Promptly respond to any shifts in patient condition or anaesthesia needs.
  • Work closely with surgical teams to ensure smooth coordination during procedures.
  • Strictly adhere to infection control measures, maintaining a hygienic and safe theatre environment.
  • Play an active role in assessing and preparing patients before surgery.

Requirements of the Theatre Practitioner:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with HCPC registration.
  • Essential minimum of one year experience working in a UK-based theatre setting, either within the NHS or Private Hospitals.
  • Capability to maintain composure and focus in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and dedication to ensuring patient safety.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
